I use my HT for both music and TV/movies. I have a NAD T762 receiver, and B&W speakers - 601 fronts, CC6 center speaker, and two older 600 series i speakers for surrounds. My room is small - maybe 12x10 - and my wife definitely does not like large subs in the room. Any suggestions for smaller subs that would go well with the set up? I had a smaller Velodyne SPL 8, which worked great, but one day it just started to whistle and no longer played bass. I guess that is the danger of buying used on ebay. I am looking at a used B&W 575, but are subs the kind of thing that you need to get new given all the electronics? Anyways, your input would be appreciated.

Purchase a new sub with a Life Time Warranty, the only thing I don't love about this sub is that it doesn't have an automatic stand-by, but for the price and the sound quality, you can't beat it. http://www.onlyfactorydirect.net/servlet/Detail?no=94 The Theater Solutions RT35o is a great little sub.

It is cheap enough..why not try?
If not, then a HSU sub or Outlaw LF1, same thing.

What about an Epik subwoofer - http://www.epiksubwoofers.com/sealedvanquish.html or an elemental designs - http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?cPath=2_138&products_id=892 ?

Do any of these subs go well with B&W? They seem reasonably small.
