Not sure where to post this because it looks as if they have quite a lineup......But I guess NAD will be a lot more main stream now.

You mean there is a way for NAD to be more mainstream...

Well I mean they're joining brands like Onkyo, Yamaha, and Denon. I know CF carries some better stuff like the Marantz reference series but it seems a bit out of place for a mid-level brand that you could only get at dealers before to now be sold at the equivalent of Bestbuy.

Will this improve pricing on the overrated Masters series?

I've ordered stuff from Crutchfield several times. All car stuff though. I definitely wouldn't call them the equivalant of Best Buy.

They've carried some respectable gear in the past and currently carry PS Audio and Thiel in addition to the Marantz reference stuff.

I think Crutchfield's home audio and HT customers are people who are looking to spend a bit more to get better quality, but don't really know what to get. Not a brick and mortar hifi shop, but maybe people will start looking into different things after seeing their catalog. I know I did back in the day. That's the first place I saw Carver and Harman Kardon among a few others.

Their weakness is speakers IMO. Other than Thiel, they have no really good speakers. They mainly push Polk and Klipsch. Maybe they'll pick up PSB or something along the lines of Paradigm, Energy, or even Monitor Audio? Most likely not the full line, but entry level and maybe a step up?

Interestingly enough, they're not carrying NADs AV receivers.

They also carry the Peachtree integrated amp.

I know a guy who used to own a pair. He teaches music at a college I used to work at.

He bought a full Rega system about 2 years ago or so.

Looks like listenup.com also carries Nad as well, but not the "overrated" masters series. Looks like they sell McIntosh too, (in store only, so they save their street cred) seems like everybody is going mainstream. I suppose I will sell what I have at a loss and buy some esoteric brand and perhaps become "interesting".

Pretty sure McIntosh prohibits selling their products online, unless they're demo or second hand. I could be wrong, but I remember my dealer telling me that McIntosh is quite particular in the terms of sale of their products.

I do not understand your point, id, sorry.

Would it affect my 2002 amp? No
Would it affect the resale value? No.
Did mac change(other than diversify) under Clarion management? No.
