One slight problem might be the accumulation of dust on the up-facing rear driver, nothing some compressed air can't fix, a dust cover might be in order.

And be cautious of the top-mounted posts.
Although the Krell duo system that I saw and heard last week had a similar bass cabinet layout, I had to think about the consequences of storing conductive items such as beer cans on the bass unit.

Not that beer cans or dust ever happen to a batchelor's place...

Thanks for the post, CM.

Thanks Chris. I've been watching for that for a while.

They are beauties. I actually haven't heard a full range speaker - other than so-called one's in my car. I'd love to hear a good single driver application on day but I'm skeptical about a single drivers ability to satisfy my preference for a detailed and crisp top-end.

George, you will never, ever be satisfied with a frsd speaker, but you will hear magic trying to find it.

The simple little Ling's that I still have are very nice simple speakers that still can surprise me.

Tim put a tweeter in these as well, i bet THOSE would wake you up with 3 watts SET.

Open baffles is where it's at for frsd.
