Hi. I'm having problems with my A/V receiver t743. It's working allright but sometimes it says OVERHEAT.. and it doesn't even want to turn off you have to pull the cable out.. I guess this is because the receiver wasn't turned off for months.. I just ask a little help of what to do when it says OVERHEAT..write on my e-mail dimitrov.daniel@hotmail.com for the right solution or at least comment for suggestions :-)

DD, the unit needs a cleaning and service.
Dust bunnies...
have it cleaned and make sure the unit is as well ventilated as possible, including the space underneath, which might be increased with risers of some sort under the feet of the piece.
Airflow into the unit will aid in convection cooling.

Also take time to check your speaker runs. If you are using bare wire, then cut back and re-terminate. If you have spades or pins, clean with de-oxit.
