NAD T752 users ~ any of you use the 12 volt trigger output ?

Okay I have a NAD T752 which I'm using to output 12 volts to my panamax 5100 surge...

What I want it to do is basically power on my subwoofer when I select the dvd input on the receiver...

Well the panamax called for a 1/8" mini jack plug but the Nad doesn't state what it needs in the manual although its a small hole...

Anyways I went to radio shack and picked up a 1/8" to 1/8" mono plug audio cable (6.5ft)

The guy said it would work...

Anyways it clips in good on the panamax but it doesn't seem to clip in as good on the nad but it does stay in the hole...

I went into the settings and enabled trigger 1 on the tuner and dvd but still no voltage is being recognized ( aka green light comes on the panamax when it receives the 12 volts)

I hit video on the front of the nad and toggle between dvd and tuner but it never outputs the voltage...

Any suggestions ?

Arghhh, I think I have a shorted cable...

Would this be bad on the nad t752 to have that 12volt output shorted...

I had it off and on about 20 times trying to make it worth b4 checking the cable...

Also in the advanced menu, it has

OSD background = on or off
OSD temperature = on or off

What do these do , and how would you access the temperature ?

Brad C.
Well radio shack sold me the wrong cable...

I got a attentuating audio cable = higher impedance versus a normal audio cable...

Anyways still wondering if anyone knows how to access the temperature...
