Sony subwoofer SA-W2500 need help with hookup

On the back of the sub it has input and output for speakers wires. Do i connect my bose 201's to the sub and then the sub to my sony reciever? Or do I connect the speakes directly to the reciever and then the sub independently to the receiver?
