Art,

Marsalis plays a Monette PRANA 3 trumpet and the entire CD is quite good.

I just picked it up yesterday and this was my first listen.

Andrea Bocelli - Sacred Arias

Very nice, save for the recording (which leaves a lot to be desired on the orchestral side of things). It is bordering on magical, etherial, and if ECM or Deustche Grammophon had recorded it, I would no doubt be floating somewhere else right now. Oh, and Schubert's Ave Maria is sung in Italian (I think) when the Latin is so much more natural.

OK Art, I'll shut up.

As much as I love Rush, I just cannot take Geddy on 'train to Bankok' on the concert dvd. The music is perfect, however.
Sometimes a perfect classic should be left alone.

YYZ follows, however, and my night gets much better!

JJ Cale Live"

Anyone have the original colored vinyl version of "JJ Cale Resurrected"?

I have a John Cale - Paris 1919 Promotional Copy from 1973. Did I mention that it still has the original sealed shrink wrap?

Will that work for you.

Still looking into the "Resurrected"

You are most welcome Nuck.

Marsh arrived home a tad bit earlier than expected, opened the door to the media room and asked "What is the purpose to have it that loud?"

My answer, as I was quickly lowering the volume, "I am attempting to make myself deaf."

Dang it.

The next thing she says, "Are you freakin' deaf?"

To wit I say "No".

I think I need bigger amps.

And before any of you go there, I am not changing out my cartridge to a higher output one, the Pre-amp stays as is, I will not insert different phone stage, and my cables are not subject to change either.

That only leaves the amps.

Which of course are not changing either, unless I suddenly find a pair of McIntosh MC-275 Vs at my door step. Okay, a couple of MC-2301s would at least keep my power level consistent.

So with that, the MC-7300 has nothing to worry about. It ain't going anywhere no time soon.
