I need advice on what amp to pair with my Dali Lektor 2 speakers (http://dali-speakers.com/display_content.php/INT/speakers.html/189/1426)

quick specs of these lektors:
Sensitivity (2,83 V/1 m) [dB]: 85,0
Nominal impedance [ohms]: 6
Maximum SPL [dB]: 106
Recommended amplifier power [W]: 25 - 100

I will be using them for music and movies (40%/60%) through the RCA out from an Asus Xonar Essence PCIe card.
I currently use Sennheiser cans for all music and movies and it sounds really nice, so I want something that will sound pretty decent (with movies) without burning a hole in my pocket.

I plan to spend around £400 for the amp.

Cheers!

Hi Bhaskar.

I would welcome you to this Forum, but this is my first post here too.

I'm not sure I understand what you want. Are you going to do stereo or multi-channel? If multi-channel, 5.1 or 7.1?

Are you looking for amplification only or an audio/video reciever (processor + amplifiers)? If an avr, do you want it to be able to decode Dolby True HD and DTS Master HD?

.

If you have the opportunity, try any of the excellent Lirpa integrated amplifiers.

That seems pretty obscure Jan. What the heck is a Lirpa?
