Hi Guys!

I have a Carver 4000 Pre Amp, Carver PM 350 Power Amp, NAD 521 Bee, Nakamichi OMS2, Carver TDR-1550, Teac H300, a Philips 212, and Bose 901 series 2 speakers. I like this system and am going to have to live with it for a while. Could someone tell me how to improve base response?

Bose 901s don't have much bass.
I would get better speakers if I were you, since the rest of the system is pretty good - the speakers are holding you back.

Hope this helps...

Turn up the Bose equalizer.

What he said, and check the speaker placement and room treatment. Bose 901s are sensitive to this since the low end is reflected. Mine worked best suspended from the ceiling.

Great party speakers (as long as you don't give a sh*t about accuracy). If properly equalized bass is adequate but will generally not shake the foundation.
