Help selecting new A/V Receiver -Marantz, Pioneer Elite or Yamaha?

Hello,

I am currently using a Onkyo 787 as my current receiver. For speakers I am
using powered AR P428PS for fronts, AR C225PS for center, AR-215PS bookshelf
for surround back/1 surround center and a Velodyne CHT-15 as a subwoofer.
6.1 set up. I am looking to gain Pro logic II and DTS NE0. Most of the
movies and shows on TV (Satellite) are in 2 channel digital, with the
exception of new movies on HBO. My main interests are movies, but music is
also important. I have considered the Marantz 7300, Yamaha RVX-2300 and the
Pioneer Elite 43tx or 45tx. I want to stay under $700. I just replaced my AC
($4000) on my house (I live in Phoenix, so AC is a must) so play funds are a
little tight. These receivers can be had at close out prices. I considered
Newer Onkyo and Denon, but for what I am looking for, they are a little to
rich for my blood at this time.

Should I wait for the New Prologic IIx units?

Thanks

Marantz or Pioneer Elite would be the best choice as in matching to the AR speakers, for your needs I would recomend the Pioneer Elite(I know I sound like a broken record!)Simply because you imply that you use the HT section on the receiver the most. The 43TX can be had for very little right now.

G.DAWG,

Other then the speaker calibration feature (I have a SPL meter), what are the main difference in the 43tx and 45tx? Does the 43tx have input renaming? Are the digital inputs assignable?

Thanks, ct602
