Sub, has no rca input??

Anonymous
I have powered sub which was set up to run with satelittes but I use it in my HT setup. Presently my receiver has a/b outputs so I just have been running the main fronts off the A and the sub off B. The new receivers I've been looking at only have one set of main outputs (no a/b) so how will I run my sub off it, the sub has no rca input for the new receivers rca sub output.

In parallel with your speakers. Most of these subs with speaker level (only) inputs have relativley high impedence and wont cause your amp to overheat. Your main speaker will probably help to stabalize the amps damping factor.

As a side benefit, running the sub this way will keep it and your main speakers levels relative and the sub will go silent when you turn off your main speakers.

Hope this helps.
