Rackmount amplifiers

you know those rackmount amplifiers used in pro audio, 19" ones?

i was thinking about putting one in my rack which has a rackmount pc. but i was wondering, do those amplifiers give off some kind of magnetic field or some kind of radiation that wouldn't be good for the computer?

Or do you see any other issues coming up?

No issues there, but they can give off a lot of heat. I wouldn't place it right above, or right below the PC if possible. I too have a Rack Mounted PC I built.

PCs dislike heat even more than audio components. You can even check your CPU's temperature through the BIOS (on most machines) if you're concerned.

im not as worried about the heat problem, i can find a way to fix that, more worried about magnetic fields given off by big power transformers.

I would try to keep the hard drive away from Hi-power transformers.
I don't know how much or large the stray field of a torroid is, but a conventional transformer will kill a drive if you get it too close.
