Useless spending on digital crap?

I have a choice between a kenwood VR 5070, Sony str da 3 es and a yamaha cx1& mx 800 pre/ power amp combination. My use is 95% music and 5% movies
Now what should i go for? Is it worthwhlie spending 500$ on a Kenwood or a Sony if ur requirement is music? I mean how much of my money is going to pay for quality sound and how much is paying for useless digital processing for movies that i probably won't watch?.. Also the specs on the yamaha are much more impressive.. does that really make a difference?

Samman, specs mean pretty much nothing. Why not get a better sounding amp like a NAD, H/K, Cambridge, etc? Ignore the specs, they can be made to look great while sounding terrible. Yamaha does not have a reputation for building good sounding amps (with some exceptions) I'd put your money into a good 2 channel amp if your not going to go H.T. If you are going H.T., i'd look into the Panasonic XR-45 reciever. It's a digital product thats been getting rave reviews.
