Question: How can I obtain THX EX from my Yamaha RXV2400. I am using B&W 603S3 for front, LCR 60 for centre and Quad 11L for rear. I do not have subwoofer yet.
I have no problem in obtaining DTS ES and DD EX. Can anyone pls help me on this? Is this because of the software or is it because of the lack of additional speakers.

i would say check and see if you have all 6 or 7 of your speakers on, and when you press the THX button on the 2400's remote, it should go to THX Surround EX. i think it won't go in that mode because you have a lack of a rear center or two rear center speakers. if you only have the 5.1 setup, it should read on the display THX Cinema or something of the sort. And remember there is no DVD or any other software that has true 7.1 surround soundtrack. Hope this helps!!
