The most boom for 175$

Any suggestions are the subwoofer that would give me the most bass for 175$... suggestions only please none of that "well for 250$ you can get something uber leet".

Check the resources mentioned like Agon and Vgon and ask questions relative to specific product that happens to be available...for instance a Martin Logan Dynamo might be for sale near your budget if so then ask about it specifically. I think it's pretty much a consensus here that there isn't anything worth buying in your price range new, so we have to know what you're looking at used to give an informed response.

Went ahead and bought a Sony SA-W3800 Performance Line 15" 200-Watt Subwoofer after reading about it quiet a bit.

Sony are not known for their subwoofers. Or for audio gear in general.

Now suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous audio misfortune and rambunctious purchase.
