Hey,

I currently have Bose 201 speakers as my front 2 speakers. I am looking to move these to rear and get new front speakers. I saw some good reviews on the Polk Monitor 50's. Are they a step up from my current Bose 201's? Any other recommendations?

Bill,

Do you have a receiver/amp? Do you need a CD and/or DVD player? What percentage of music/HT will the system be used for? How big is your room? What kind of music do you listen to?

I have a JVC 8040B receiver. Probably 40% music / 60% movies. I like all kinds of music. Hard rock, reggae, etc.

That's a good price plus the free shipping too! So, would those be compatible with my JVC 8040B receiver? Would these be a noticable upgrade from my current Bose 201? Also, I'm looking for clarity at lower levels. Not really into cranking up the sound. Is this speaker good for that too? If so, i think i'm gonna order it!

You can search until smoke comes out of your ears & your keyboard melts, and you will not find a better deal, given your budget.

This review of the previous generation Primus 360 should help http://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/605infinity/ . I think the new Primus P362 improves up the older generation in several ways, not least of which is build quality.

Cool. Thanks for all the help. I just ordered these bad boys. And since i was a new Overstock customer, i got an additional 10% off. So, all together w/ shipping, $377 for the pair!

FYI,

I just got the speakers via UPS and they are fantastic! Now all i need is a center speaker. Any recommendation between the Infinity PC250 and PC350 to match the Primus 362s?

Without a doubt, go with the larger PC350 if you can.
