Since we were talking about how good Yamaha speakers could possibly be, I feel I will post the Perfect Visions top gear of 2007, which im reading at the moment. These guys don't really get their hands dirty with some high end gear, but none the less, good for a read. Some of the gear on this list, Frank has mentioned, so here we go :

Best sub with the Depth is no surprise.
I wonder what best sub that we can afford?

lol true. Like I said, these guys seem to stick close by certain brands, as do many magazines. Im sure a 6000 dollar Lexicon A/V receiver will blow the doors off that Onkyo. But again, I don't think TPV has ever touched a Lexicon product. Home Theater MAG named the Lexicon A/V receiver of the year though.

Home Theater mag, also named JL Audio the best sub. But claimed that REL was the budget sub of the year.
