I recently acquired a set of old mach1 speakers, problem is all I have is the speakers and I haven't been able to find a receiver/amplifier that uses the older style of output that these speakers do without all sorts of extra features that I do no need. All I am looking to do is play music from my computer through these older speakers, so anything I use must have either a never style stereo input (or headphone type input) and an older style 2 channel output (they twist open, you put the wire in and close them again so far as I can tell) The speakers are rated at 165watts each but I've read that they'll run just fine with an input of around 100watts, so what exactly can I use to do this, and where can I find it. Any recommendations are appreciated.
I don't get it. They're speakers, any receiver with adequate power will drive them. If you are looking for an older one just check Craigslist or go to garage sales and thrift stores.
