Hey Paul.
My Lings sit on spikes as a necessity on a hardwood platter straight onto a large hardwood desk, thus the spikes.
Small monitors do not usually use the spikes, but adding them to the single driver speaks was wonderful to me.

Is it the look or the bass response that doesn't seem right for you?

I like the spikes, I'm not sure if they're standard issue, but I would opt for color coordinating them with the metal grills, that's my $.02

Nuck, have you figured-out how to post pics yet? If so (and I hope so), can you post a pic of those Lings, I'd love to see them with the spikes. (I think I have a speaker fet!sh???)

I agree, the spikes would look cooler if the colour matched the metal grill.

C'mon Nuck, post those pics.

I'll second that.

I haven't brought myself to read that entire post, but I think they've upgraded the tweeter, but have yet to introduce the new driver with the xbl^2 motor.

That's the one I'm interested in.
