This is probably a tough question to answer, but I'll ask for anyones opinion anyway. I have been looking for an integrated amp now for a few days and have narrowed it down to either like a Marantz PM7001 or a CA azur 640Av2, leaning more towards the Marantz.

But then I found a review for the Harman Kardon 3480 here-http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_14_2/hk-3480-receiver-daves-5-2007-part-1. html} claiming that this certain modification by Stereo Dave's made this receiver sound well over $500. Well of course there is no way for me or anyone really for that matter to listen to the modified HK side by side with the Marantz PM-7001 or others in that $500-600 price range. But just by reading that review on the HK can anyone give me their opinion on what would be worth purchasing : either the Marantz PM 7001 or the HK 3485 with this modification done. I havent read much about it besides in that review so I'm really curious about this. Thank you for any comments.
