Here's the headline: Does this AVR turn digital audio inputs into analog audio outputs?
I want to take an optical audio output from my DVR into an analog(RCA) input on my DVD recorder.
The DVD recorder is a Panasonic DMR ES35V.
I can't go direct DVR to DVD Recorder with the audio because the DVD recorder only takes analog/RCA inputs and the analog out on my PVR are not working properly.
So the ONLY way I can do this is to go optical digital from the DVR to the AVR ...then....????
That's where I'm stumped. It appears that I cannot get an analog out from the optical "in" no matter what inputs I swap around to connect to the DVD recorder.
I even have a CD recorder with optical and analog inputs and I can't even get audio onto that.
