I have an sansui pre amplifier which has two pre outs , i want to connect my yamaha subwoofer using the pre, Can i connect the sub through the pre out of the pre amplifier or is it better if i connect the speaker wires to the speaker line in on the sub and take the speaker line out and give it to the speaker, i listen only stereo thank you very much imran
im, either way works, but a note on running the mains from the sub. I used the XO of a Velodyne sub to the fronts and was appalled. It sounded awful. Then I ran speaker leads to the sub alone, and all was well. I don't trust a sub maker to control my mains, that is what the stereo maker does.
