Hi All,

I have a Boston PV700 sub and a Rotel RA-1060 stereo amp which I use to drive the fronts in my home theater setup.
Currently my sub hangs off my Marantz SR4600 av amplifier, but as I wish to reinforce the sound of my fronts (B&W 601 S3's) I am trying to connect the Boston sub to my Rotel. My Arcam CD73 cd player connects directly to the Rotel.
The Rotel has pre outs and when I used a splitter cable to take the line level stereo signal to the mono line level input it made my stereo amp run in mono! Any ideas what I can do? Can I use just one of the pre out channels to connect to the sub?

Thanks for any help,

Anthony

Anthony, your Rotel does not have dual pre-outs, yes?
You need to run parallel speaker outs from your existing ones and use the speaker level inputs to the sub.
Run parallel speaker wires to the high level input(select if there is a switch) and let the sub's XO do the figguring.

Have Scotch will help.
