As per the OP, it is titled like something that would come up on the wrist of a crimefighter.

The amp seems solid enough, dunno about the build.

They sound exceptionally good, I had a play with one recently! It's not my bag this mp3 business but that is a very decent sounding contraption and people were falling over it at the show! The limited edition 'carbon' model is nicer.

I haven't heard it, nor know anyone with one. I read somewhere (actually a few times) that the components themselves sound very good (about as good as an iPod can get) and are pretty well built.

In the same places - I can't remember where - they said the speakers aren't as good a value as they rest of the system. I guess they're overpriced for their performance against other speakers. It is available without the speakers. I know for a fact that you'd be able to find the best speakers for it for the best price.

If I had the extra cash and a good use for it, I'd definitelty try it out.

I think you can also buy the amp by itself without the iPod dock.

I really don't know much about it, but I think its a line level out. Meaning that the iPod's internal amp is bypassed, thus cutting down on noise.

I have an ALO Cyrodock that connects my iPod to a portable amp. They Cryodock plugs in like every other dock, but only connects to the iPod's pre-out pins. I'd imagine this is what the Fatman's dock does as well. Hopefully anyway. The internal amp in the iPod isn't very good. Amplifying it only yields more noise.

Sorry, the Cryodock connects my iPod to a portable headphone amp.
