Hi,
I just bought a mcintosh 2100 amp and am trying to decide which preamp to use. I am thinking about the C38 or the MA 6100. I will be running my Music Hall mmf-2.1LE Turntable as well as my DVD & video & CD through this system. Any advice on what would be the best options for me. I am trying to do this on a budget but want to make a wise investment at the same time. Any help would be great. Thanks alot...

.

You're trying to decide which would make the better pre amp; a twenty year old integrated amplifier or a ten year old pre amp? Correct? What's the question again? Just out of curiosity, what's the decision maker here? Do you already own a MA6100? Find one in the street? What's the hesitation?
