Help with speaker systems

am currently looking to upgrade speakers, ie replace my walfdales with a better quality, ive recienty seen a set of bose 701 and wonder if anyone has sujestions on a possible alternative? have around £400 budget and require quite a substantial speaker as im currently producing about 1000watt rms, would appreciate any advise on this subject thanks Danny

He means the Wharfedales are going to be better than any Bose you get. Look around here a bit & see how well thought-of Bose is (there's a reason they are nicknamed "Blows").

AFAIK Wharfedales are supposed to be pretty good. Also, is that 1000W RMS per CHANNEL?! Or perhaps total for the system, in which case what can it push per channel?

McIntosh makes 1000 watt monoblocks. How much do you want to bet that the OP is running those?

Anyway, Daniel. I am thinking you do a lot of DJ work and you want something effcient(by looking at your equipment list...love those Technics turntables). Have you taken a look at professional speaker systems?
