I am wanting to upgrade my Paradigm Titans V.4 a step-up - maximum I want to spend is $650. My set-up consists of a Cambridge Audio 640A V.1 Integrated, Cambridge Audio 540D dvd player, Anti-cable speaker cables, and Signal Cable interconnects. Any suggestion as to some speakers to check out would be much appreciated.

What is wrong with the current set-up?

Why do feel that you are "upgrading" by spending $650?

What are your current speakers not doing now that you expect from an upgrade?

007:

With a Cambridge amp (a bit laid back, with slightly rolled off frequency extremes), I would recommend some speakers that have a more aggressive sound--the amp and the speakers should balance out nicely. I would recommend either a pair of Monitor Audio Silvers or a pair of JMlabs Cobalt 806s. Saturday Audio offers the MA S2s on a closeout for $449:

Click on their "Deals Page" link on the left hand side and scroll down.

Alternatively, check out the jmLabs Cobalt 806s from Audio Advisor, also a closeout, for $599:

both are excellent speakers in their own right and mating them with your amp will bring out the best in both. If you aren't sure, I know AA will ship them to you with a 30 day home trial.

Just a couple of thoughts for your consideration. . .
