sorry if this topic has been discussed previously but i joined and am posting on this site from my cellphone so bear with me :-).

i have 2 12' subs in a box from my old car stereo. i want to hook it up to my harmon kardon reciever. i know i cant directly hook up the subs to the speaker out's on the reciever. and i know i cant use a car amplifier easily for my system......

now. if i were to buy this amplifier (DFX HDJ2000) and run rca cable from my reviever's sub built in crossover (sub woofer out) to the amplifier i want to get. will it work fine?....i wanna know it will work before i spend $200 on the amp.

TIA!!!

It will work. All you really need is a proper amplifier that can drive the speakers.

The amp can drive 4 ohm loads, just make sure that the speaker are rated at 4 Ohms.
