I was trying to see how far my OLD amp would push my car's Alpine Type-R...long story short, it blew.

I cracked the case and found the two original fuses blown. They are MGC Toyo 250V 3.5A fuses. They look like AGU fuses, but longer. Where can I find two of these fuses?

Why would I call it off? What significance do the two blown fuses have opposed to one?

Sorry, Noto.
I meant to stop feeding it fuses is all.

Are the fuses on the output or input?
If both input fuses go, then the power supply is shorted.

One leg blowing fuses is likely after the supply.

its right where the input for the AC power is

are you certain the power supply is shorted?
can i test it by just running wires through the fuse holders to complete the circuit and see if it works?

Highly non-recommended.
The power supply is likey shorted. If the fuses for input blow on the hot AND neutral side, the power supply is a great smoke bomb if you bypass the fuses.
Ya gotta check and clean all the power leads. Not so daunting a task, really.
But use a vacuumn as opposed to an air blow, I rec a ground strap, as well.

Good luck.

UPDATE:
thanks for all the help. i just received my 3.0A fuses about 15 minutes ago, plugged em in and it worked fine. no need to clean the power leads, also the power supply wasn't shorted.

Thanks for the update, N.
Good to hear that you are up again.
Seems rather odd, but what the hell, so long as it works!

Cheers!
