Shortly after receiving an IPod mini for amy birthday, a problem arose. It was disconnected mid-virus scan and froze. After eventually turning it off, I attempted to turn it back on. I succeeded in bringing up the apple symbol. But it made a clicking noise, as if something was stuck and was trying to load. Soon after the apple symbol appeared a new picture came up. A small ipod with a warning sign beside it with a website at the bottom of the screen. I fear the hardware is broken and I cannot fix it. Can anyone help?

Not an expert, but I had problems before and was told to reboot it. you do this by pressing the center button and the menu button at the same time until the system restarts. this is not a reset, so it should not wipe out the system. good luck.
