Good evening. I'm planning to buy an amp + CD player. I'm hesitating between these two combinations:
NAD-C352 + NAD-C542
or
DENON-PMA1500AE and DENON-DCD1500AE.
Have any one of you experienced those combinations? Thanks for help and suggestions.

I have the NAD combo you mentioned and I can say that these combo is great as you would have expected based on the reviews....but the best way to know is for you to audition these NAD combo and the Denon combo and see which of them suits your music taste and preference...

Goodluck!

I almost only listen to "classical" music and some jazz. What I especially appreciate is baroque music: viola da gamba, cello, motets ...

Examples of music I bought and love :

- Vivaldi: Stabat Mater (Scholl, Banchini, Ensemble 415)
- Pergolesi : Stabat Mater (Bonney, Scholl, Les talens lyriques, Rousset)
- Bach: 6 Suiten für Violoncello solo (P. Fournier)
- Marin Marais: Pieces de Viole du Second Livre, 1701 (Jordi Savall)
- Office Des Tenebres by Morales, Doulce Memoire, and Dadre

I expect from the amp+CD is clarity, musicality, preciseness, an analytical sound.

For the kind of music I listen what do you think I should go for?
NAD or DENON?

A friend will give me a pair of very nice speakers, so I would like to choose something nice to drive them. Unfortunately I know nothing about HiFi. I used to listen to music with a common Sony system and Sennheiser HD595 headphones.
