By that I mean a speaker pair mounted on a wall-mount bracket. Rear-ported speakers seem out of the question and most small boxes seem to have the rear port. I just listened to some Quad 11L's which sounded fantastic but also had the rear port. Era Design 4's come with a wall mount bracket so perhaps those would work. I wasn't overwhelmed with their sound in the store but it was in one of those 40 speakers on one shelf type of rooms. Not ideal or the Devore 3's which I haven't heard.

I'm also curious about the new tall stretched boses which are designed to bracket a plasma screen. This would be perfect for the space. Speakers like the Monitor Radius R250, PBS VS300, Gallo Nucleus Reference and the many other kind of tall thin on-wall speakers. Are these types just compromise speakers or do they actually compare to nice monitors ?

This is for a 15x16x9 semi enclosed room and mostly music.

Thanks,

Ben
