Is 900 CAD$ a good price for a brand new, in-the-box NAD c372?

Yes, at my local audio shop I can find C372 for $899 in Toronto (American sound of Canada) http://www.americansound.com/.

Sorry Michael, thats for you too.
I didn't look for shops in Halifax when I was there last week, nothing good there?
I will likely be back there next week, I hope to look around a bit.

Thanks very much Tony and Nuck, I am still toying with the idea, as it is purely a luxury item, but I am glad to see that if I do invest in it, it is a reasonable price. There is only one quasi-independent audio shop here, and only one big box store too for that matter.

Nuck, my Base is in Gagetown, aka Fredericton. Your thinking of the Naval Base, although I have visited Halicrack on occasion, and I bet there is a much wider variety and availability there, or even in Moncton I suppose. Supposedly there is a Rotel dealer in Moncton, though I have not found it. I have to admit, I was pretty impressed with the dealer I was speaking with for the Nad. I was very up front and told him I am not sold on the idea yet, but was looking for an "indulgence piece". I asked what there return policy was and that did not make him shy away in the least. As well it is very open. 30 days from date of purchase, no questions asked. Cannot say that won't give me a chance to listen critically, buyer's remorse usually takes place within the first two weeks. So while I cannot compare it to other amps (there aren't any for 200km) it gives me a realistic opportunity to assess if I like what it does for my system.

Hmm... 850$ for a ROTEL RMB1075... Seems like I may have to shop around some more.

Nuck, how does the Canuck Audio Mart work? Is it simply a listing, and afterwards you deal privately with the seller? Or can you purchase through it like ebay?
