New to the forum, so hi to everyone.

I am looking at replacing my NAD PP-2 with a slightly better product, and came across the Korora phon preamp made by Firestone.

It can be run AC or DC to decrease noise, so wondering if anyone else has tried it. I was thinking of this vs. the XLPsV3 or the Gram Amp 2SE?

Appreciate any commments.

Anthony,

I don't know how much it costs in the USA but the best mid-priced phono stage I've had the pleasure to use which is also MM/MC switchable is the Dynavector P75. It's a stunning little unit with a real wallop. It also has a special setting called the DRT setting which seems to take advantage of cartridges in a different way rather than their loading, but this is unique to MC cartridges. For more info, have a look at:

Regards,
Frank.
