Okay, here's the deal. I'm running Windows XP Home edition on the service pack 1 - 5.1.2600 build. I've installed everything on the disc that came with the player, yet my computer STILL can't detect it. Further, this is a fresh reinstall. I just finished about 13 hours ago. This player hasn't worked from day one on this computer dispite having them [the store] replace the entire packaging twice. Fortunately then, I had a second computer I could transfer files onto it with. Now, I do not have that luxury and am in need of some sort of assistance whether it be in the form of working drivers or advice on how to get working drivers.

PS. it's not just the player. I've tried a few different MP3 players. My computer just does not detect external storage devices.
