I haven't been to the Canadian Ballet for a while Nuck, so please excuse my ignorance...

Is CV still their official speaker?

Every speaker has their market, and CV certainly owns their nitche. When it comes to party speakers that get a steady dose of ACDC high octane abuse, the CVs certainly have their place. If I was a college kid shopping for speakers for the next megga keg party, CVs would rate high up the list.

Stuie, I thought you had retired!
Last visit to the brass pole ballet was in Montreal, taking out a customer.
I do not frequent the establishments, since my first engagement.
I was out with the guy, good chap, and, yes, the CV's(couldnt guess a model) were right there.

Sounded great and really REALLY pounded!
Not kidding, they sounded great for the purpose.

Hey chuck, Im sorry to hear about your situation with etronics. Im getting ready to order with www.jr.com and they have a good price on the E715's.

IM trying to decide between the 12 or the 15 versian but probably will go with the 12. Keep me posted on your situation. What reciever are you using or amp ?

Careful with www.jr.com: All shipments to Canada besides shipments to P.O. boxes use UPS Canada Express. That's a good way to pay through the nose for custom's brokerage. At least etronics deals with the postal service.

Ahh good ol' Super Sex, its been a while since I was posted there... /sigh

However, Chuck, for personal home use (with the exception of the aforementioned keg parties) I don't think you will find CVs sonically entertaining, or reproduce sound in a true-to-life fashion.

Nuck, what do I have to buy to be a customer entertained by you! :-)

Good to point that out, Peter. It is hard to get stuff into the GWN without paying everybody and his government brother.
That said, Tim sent my 50lb speaker pkg by Post.
$50 bucks or so to the US, and Canada Post tagged me for another 30 bucks here.

Michael, you need not buy a thing to be entertained by me, it's free here!

Actually, I will buy you a coupla pops anytime.

Kenwood belongs in cars and on appliances.

Check out the entry level Denon, Pioneer and Yamaha lines, both offer a good pre-amp section for the money in their entry level models.

If you want to get serious and not buy a receiver when you intend to not use the amplifier section. Look at the Outlaw 970 and 990

Funny story, I was at a "function" with some of my extended family (wife included) and a beer cost 10$, so without thinking I said words along the lines of: "for 10$ a beer there better be strippers later..."

Needless to say an elbow in the ribs was the least punishment I recieved... ah, I am so refined...
