I just purchased a pre-amp to revive my old amplifier after 15 years and noticed the inter-connects(rca cables) have directional arrows. I remember that the arrows go in the direction of the signal, but (stupid question)does the signal run from the pre amp to the amp or vice versa? I know its a noob question, but it has been a long time.

Then, just to know, after about 100 hrs, reverse them and listen again.
Please post your observations?

"does the 100 hours have be in one session?"

If it isn't, what's the point of a good system?
