I pulled my turntable out of the basement last night. Haven't used it in 15-20 years. It is a Audio Reflex # 110. I plugged it in, lifted the needle arm but nothing happened. I thought it would start to turn but no luck. What could be the problem ? TIA

Ok.......I got a new belt ..........works great, now I notice the stylus is broken. It is an Audio-technica, AT11E. Since I am just playing around do I have to spend a lot of money or can I buy a cheapy aftermarket styli somewhere ? TIA

PP, I got a cheapie AT stylus from a dealers bin and yes it worked, but my old Dual wouldn't tune in very well. It might have been the stylus and setup that thwarted me.
Maybe play around and get your tuning skills/angle/etc straight, then try a better one?

peter puck, at least buy elliptical(.3x.7 is better than .4x7). it has better contact with the groove and friendlier to you records.
