Hello, I'm getting close to buying the Sony DVP-CX875P 301 DVD/Disc Player and was wondering how it fares out there. Any input or other recommendations would be appreciated.

Love mine- and seems to work well with my home recorded DVS as well - have not tried out all the functions but will soon

The "File explorer" which is the dvd info management system is not that great. After loading the disks, you have it scan all the disks and load the info to memory. Unfortunetly, I found about 1 in 8 dvd's provided info,which means that info (title's) need to be manually inputted. Also this unit uses the Sony Control-s protocol, which is an older, one-way directional protocol. Won't be able to hook up a music management system to it (at least I haven't found one yet). They all use the newer protocol (control A1 I think). If none of that matters, it is a good dvd player.
