I hooked up my new Marantz SR6300 today and can't get the On Screen Display to work. I have an S-video cable from the the monitor out on the receiver to the TV and I also hooked up a composite cable with the same connections and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions? Also, the volume is very low. I have barely normal sound at -25db. What could I have done wrong?

What you need to do is to switch to S-Video output from the receiver menus using the front screen display. Which makes you feel like a "blind mouse looking for the cheese in a deep maze". The users manual is not of any help too. So the best way to switch it using the composite outs. Then you can use S-Video again.
