Hello, my name is Anthony and I have a "hopefully" quick question. I have two 4 ohm Marine grade speakers that I would like to use outside under an awning at my house. Can I use a 4 Ohm resistor on each speaker so that I won't hurt my amp? If so how should I wire the resistor in line? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Regards

That's not quite how it works but for a quick and dirty job you can put the resistors on the positive input terminal of the speakers and connect your speaker cable to that. Shouldn't hurt anything. Make sure the resistors are rated at 10 watts or better.
