hi! What do you think about this receiver? I'm interested if it hase bass/ treble control and why on the front panel you don't find the DTS ES and the DOLBY DIGITAL EX marcs if they exist in the technical specifications ? this receiver it's a good choice with 4 x PIONEER S-V310 speakers ?...it's a must to buy some sobwoofer ? excuse my poor english. The VR-6070, and judging from the manual also the KRF-X9060D:
(1) do have bass/treble controls, but they don't seem very useful, since they don't work for DD or DTS (though the equalization controls do give some control over treble),
(2) do have DTS ES/MATRIX and Surround EX indicators on the front panel display.
You probably do want a subwoofer, for any home theater system (but not everyone shares that opinion).
