Hi all,
I'm trying to convert my dad's old records to CD for him, so I dusted off his old Sony PS-LX3, got the necessary adapters, and hooked it up to my computer. The problem I'm encountering is that when I try to start playing a record, it will turn on, spin a few times, and stop. The "servo lock" light goes on briefly, but then goes off. Is this problem easily reparable, or do I need to take it somewhere? If I do need to take it somewhere, what kind of place would be able to service one of these?

Thanks!

You need to take it somewhere. Sony usually has service centers around the country. Some of the big box stores like Best buy who sell Sony might also be able to help you.
