I just got my new amp and though it's a quality piece of equipment, I'm frustrated to find that when using headphones (as I always do) I only get sound when using the Sound Direct feature. If I turn that off, I get nothing. Right now I just have a Marantz CD player connected. If this is to be the case, it keeps me from using my equalizer and making any adjustments to the sound. Is this be design or am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the machine? Thanks for any help.

Is there still no sound when you disconnect your equalizer? Don't ask me why, but the connected equalizer seems the only reason there's no sound when not using 'source direct'...or there must be something wrong with your amp, but I have no clue what could be the problem.
