I had a Sony htp800dp reciever . One of those box theater systems . Well the reciever broke down and can't be fixed . The speakers have a plug attached to them so you kind of have to stick to the Sony product . Well can you cut the plugs of and attach them to a new reciever like a panisonic reciever .
Make sure that you know which wire is which. Your receiver may be marked with +/- signs but it may not. The plug may also be marked this way. If the wire is marked (e.g. one of the two wires has a black stripe on it), then be consistent about how you hook up the wires to your new receiver. e.g. always put the striped wires to the red sockets on the receiver.
