GRRRR they are really starting to p!ss me off!

there has to be a way to control where they post. They are really getting on my nerves. Lately it seems like every time someone asks for home audio subwoofer advice, some immature ar$ehole butts in with "you really need these MTX yadda yadda yadds 'cuz theyre the loudest subs (or best subs) on the market, nevermind that they are for CARS

or what about the numerous posts of these guys asking about which subs fit which car IN THE MIDDLE of a current thread where we are trying to give advice to someone that is in the CORRECT place...

AARGH I can usually deal with it but tonight it really irritated me

Gosh I hate having to spell things out. Kids today don't listen to jazz, they laugh at jazz. "Music" to them is anything that goes boom or boom bang. You know what I meant.

I posted a message to the admin about it. I listed a bunch of threads in the amps and subs sections. I guess we'll have to wait and see if they get deleted/moved and what happens. The Amps, CD players, and Subs sections get over-run the most. Funny how their aren't any home audio posts in the car audio section. I think it's a conspiracy.

I've entertained the thought of starting to post over their and even start threads, but I keep telling myself to be the bigger person.

Speaking of misplaced threads... shouldn't this be in the Subs section Gavin?

Sorry, "just trying" but you are wrong. The man who is remodeling my kitchen has a teenage employee who just loves jazz. His Mother and Uncle turned him onto it when he was young and he's been interested since. Most kids don't listen to jazz but then again neither do most adults.

stu,

the reason why I didn't place this in the subs section was because I was afraid of soem smarta$$ kid posting on it that I was wrong, or didn't know anything and telling me to shut up.

I figured I would get a better response in here.

I have all the CD's waiting for me to listen when I want a true hifi listening experience.

if you like an out of this world listening experience with all kinds of percussion thrown in, and tons of ambient soundscapes, and outstanding sound quality, I would suggest checking out the rippingtons.

Anything from one of their GRP label releases will be great! I have not been overly impressed with their newer releases.

That's funny Gavin because I like pretty much everything you listed. I also get into bluesy stuff like SRV and Santana. At heart, I am a strings freak, anything with a cool solo or good riff will satisfy me. Oh, and I am also quite the sucker for 80's rock and pop, stuff like Blondie.

P.S It's me "just trying".

Gavin,

I like your music list except for...

BON JOVI?

MICHAEL JACKSON?

How on earth did they make it onto such an illustrious list? : )

By producing excellent music. Slippery When Wet was absolutely a great album, and Thriller? C'mon, while these artists are both just plain gaye these days, I don't let that cloud my judgement, music's music.

Actually I loathed both of them even back when they were really big. Bon Jovi and their '80s glam-rockers brethren drove me into classic rock for almost a whole decade. And I still remember those red MJ jackets...ew!

Remember when?

Oh the innocent days of carefree summers, pretty girls and guys with pretty hair.

5 non-blondes on the radio, 'runaway' was a young pretty Bon Jovi and Eddie VH still had his original hips.
I remember when...

Most embarrassing music in your collection contest:

The Waitresses (I Know What Boys Like)
The Knack (My Sharona)

I've got these on vinyl. I'm won't expose my system to these "gems". I'm afraid they will permanently damage my gear.

Anyone else man or woman enough to own up to their past? (Anonymous post=wimp)

"Hey our band does 'my sharona'.!?"

Nuck, that certainly beats simply owning the album. I've also got Bananarama. Does your band do a cover of 'Cruel Summer'? :-)

Check out this link for One Hit Wonders.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/One-hit_wonder

This one has a link to "One Hit Wonder Radio" that will stream winners like "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia" and "Convoy" to your computer. Unfortunately, the links to the Top 100 list don't seem to work.

I just had to share the links. I've been listening to the One Hit Wonders Radio for over an hour now...and THE HITS JUST KEEP ON COMING!

I was also hoping that some1 could tell me how 2 stream 1 Hit 1ders to my car system. It would sound AWESOME thru my 1200 Watt RMS 12" Power Acustic MoFo Sub-Woofers!
