HI, a quick probably dumb question. My receiver does not have a DVI or HDMI connection. If I hook up say for example, a PS3 to a front screen projector via a HDMI cable would it still be possible to access the receiver and the dolby surround, dts etc..? Could I run an additional audio cable from the PS3 to the receiver to get the good stuff? Any help appreaciated, THX
Yes, in your situation you will want the PS3 hooked up to the projector by HDMI to take advantage of the 1080p output, and the receiver hooked up by optical to take advantage of 5.1 Dolby Digital.
