Denon AVR 1082 Shutdown Problem

Been having a problem with my Denon AVR 1082. I have two Sony 400 Disc changers hooked up and daisy chained together, for background listening. For the past several months, the system has been going into shutdown/standby mode, sometimes after only a couple minutes of playtime.

The Receiver is used for Home Theater also. It never does this in any other input mode. Not Receiver or TV/DBS or cassette or phono. It does not do it when playing CD's in the Univeral DVD player (generally at a much louder volume).

Questions?

1) can I use a different input for the daisy chained CD players, say, the VCR 2 input?

2) Is anyone familiar with a reset button for this receiver?

3) Finally, repair or replace? The unit was purchased installed in September 2002.

Any advice, input(no pun intended) would be appreciated.

Sounds like a problem with that particular input. There shouldn't be anything in the Sony changers causing a problem. You can use any of the available inputs on the 1082 to see if the problem persists. There is no difference between any of the analog ins - the names are only there as a reference.
