Compared to what? It was a relatively inexpensive Japanese turntable. There are much worse and many far better. What shape is the cartridge/stlyus in?

Hi Jan!

I have a Luxman and it's far better than the Sony. I had a big JVC before and this way out perfoms it. Does yours have the auto lift feature? Mine came with a B&O cartidge for 20 bucks at Traders Villiage.

There's a Luxman Owners group on Yahoo you might want to join for more information.

Hi Brock

I understand you have a Luxman Owners group in Yahoo. If you would not mind, can I have the website so that I can join them. I have two Luxman Power Amplifiers Model L80v and L85V. The sound reporlduction is very good especially the bass, treble and mid-range. Unfortunately, I have only the Marantz 10 inches speakers to match them.
One side of the Luxman L80V is giving after half an hour. It is due to the power transistors. I understand it is difficult to obtain them. Can you please advise and help.

Thanks, Brock
