Anonymous | i plan on building my two front speakers with a snail shell on the bottom and a small sealed box for the midrange and tweeter ive come up with some questions 1: what happens if i hook up an 8ohm tweeter and an 8ohm midrange with a 4ohm woofer using a three-way crossover good for 4 or 8ohm? 1a:will the tweeter and midrange recieve power at an 8ohm load while the woofer gets double the power from its 4ohm load? 1b:what load will the reciever see with 8,8,4 on a three way crossover? *i have an 8ohm woofer already to match the 8ohm tweeter and midrange but the woofer requires double the power* 2: what is the easiest way to bi-amp from a single reciever output? thanks |

If I'm wrong please let me know. If I'm right, before you spend any money I suggest the following: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0071348743/102-3214814-4155368?v=glance&n=28315 5 http://www.mfr-eng.com/sb201.htm http://www.mfr-eng.com/ldc.htm The Weems book is a bit dated but the basics are described extremely well and still apply today. Disclaimer: I'm not familiar with the MFR company and am not endorsing them in any sense of the word. They just happened to come up when I was searching for the book titles. |
